- Location: Pune Employment Type: full-time Designation: Senior Cloud Engineer - DevOps specialty Job Details Who We Are: Were QloudX! We excel in Cloud, or is it Qloud Were a service-based company delivering world-class cloud-native solutions to our clients across the world. We work mostly with AWS & do everything from large-scale cloud migrations to building cloud-native solutions from scratch. Were an AWS advanced partner with several competencies and have active customers on 3 continents. Were looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our awesome team of engineers. We work a LOT with AWS so we surely prefer the AWS DevOps Engineer Professional certification A lot of our projects are in & around Kubernetes so youll also need the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) badge. The CKAD & some OpenShift knowledge would be good to have. The CKS certification would be a big plus Were a team of highly-motivated, proactive, hands-on, individual contributors. We would expect the same of you. As the creator & maintainer of foundational systems used by many dev teams across the org, youll be called to guide/support developers on all kinds of issues: AWS, Kubernetes, or just plain Linux You should have at least 5 years of industry experience including 3+ years of AWS & 1+ years of Kubernetes experience. A software development background would also be really helpful A big part of what we do on a daily basis, is build cloud infrastructure, so you must be very comfortable writing advanced Terraform & CloudFormation. Building custom Terraform modules, might also be required from time to time Were big on automation too, so youll need a good grasp of Python & Bash, and the AWS services that aid in event-driven automation, like Lambda, EventBridge & Step Functions We lay the infrastructural foundation for new projects, including providing a great developer experience, especially in terms of ease of deployment. Our projects use a plethora of tools & services to automate deployments. You should have experience/knowledge of GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps & AWS Code services Youll also be building robust monitoring systems for large-scale production systems. And you might get called sometimes to investigate & fix operational issues. You should be comfortable working with CloudWatch, deploying, configuring & using Prometheus & Grafana, and third-party infra & APM monitoring systems like Datadog IaC is awesome, but so is CaC. We build & maintain a lot of pretty advanced Ansible playbooks, used by many teams across the org. Ensure you have some sort of CaC experience. Ansible is ideal. Chef & Puppet might work too Security is a BIG deal at QloudX! You must have experience building secure systems from the ground up, both in the cloud & in Kubernetes. This includes stuff like application code & dependencies static analysis in pipelines, vulnerability scanning of Docker images & running containers, and tools like Checkov for Terraform & OPA/Kyverno for Kubernetes,
