Cloud Engineer - AWS Architecture Must Have Skills: Cloud Certifications: AWS Architecture (Certification preferred), Azure Architecture. Security Tools Expertise: Familiarity with security tools like AWS (Control Tower, Organizations, SSH, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch), Crowdstrike, WAF ( Logic, AWS WAF), Axonius (Asset Management), CSPM (Wiz, Orca, Prisma, Devocean). Project Management Tools: Experience using JIRA. Excel: Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis. Skills Good to Have Skills: Cloud Security Expertise: In-depth understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Secure Cloud Architecture Design: Expertise in designing secure and scalable cloud architectures that align with business requirements and comply with industry standards. Identity and Access Management (IAM): Proficiency in designing and implementing IAM solutions for cloud environments, ensuring proper authentication, authorization, and access controls. Encryption & Data Protection: Knowledge of encryption techniques and data protection mechanisms to secure sensitive data in transit and at rest within cloud services. Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to cloud security, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other industry-specific regulations. Security Automation & Scripting: Skill in implementing automation tools and scripts to enforce security policies, monitor configurations, and respond to security incidents in cloud environments. Threat Modeling: Ability to conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities in cloud architectures. Incident Response Planning: Experience in developing and executing incident response plans specific to cloud environments, collaborating with incident response teams and cloud service providers. Continuous Monitoring & SIEM: Proficiency in establishing and maintaining continuous monitoring processes using SIEM tools for cloud environments. Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives, and external partners, translating security requirements into actionable cloud solutions. Experience Range: 5-9+ Years in cloud security, with hands-on experience in securing cloud environments and architecting secure cloud solutions. Proven experience in designing and implementing IAM solutions, compliance management, threat modeling, and incident response within cloud environments.
