Job Description

    This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

    We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to act as the SuccessFactors DevOps focal point within the development team. This role involves both hands-on development and operational support for SuccessFactors Employee Central Core, Integrations, and related HR processes, ensuring system stability, enhancements, and seamless collaboration with business stakeholders.

    The DevOps operating model will be continuously improved in close coordination with business teams. The scope includes HR modules such as Employee Central, Position Management, Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Talent, Succession & Development, Compensation, Learning, and Time Management.

    Key Responsibilities & Objectives:

    1. Development & Operations (60%)

    • Work in an Agile/Scrum development model to deliver user stories through short sprints.
    • Configure and maintain SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core and Integrations to align with business processes.
    • Perform unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment for system enhancements.
    • Manage incident handling, including major incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and system monitoring.
    • Oversee SAP SuccessFactors release management, ensuring smooth deployment of new features and regression testing.
    • Ensure system integrity through periodic environment refreshes and continuous monitoring.

    2. Project Delivery & System Improvements (30%)

    • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert (SME), providing insights and recommendations on SuccessFactors enhancements.
    • Collaborate with HR, IT, and regional delivery teams to set up the product roadmap and introduce new features.
    • Lead or support technical projects, working closely with third-party vendors when required.
    • Oversee complex HR technology landscapes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

    3. System Standards, Training & Continuous Learning (10%)

    • Maintain and improve documentation, processes, and tools to ensure adherence to global standards.
    • Support the development of user procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
    • Stay updated on SuccessFactors trends, best practices, and new developments, ensuring relevant certifications are maintained.
    • Drive knowledge-sharing initiatives within the DevOps team and key stakeholders.

    Position in the Organization

    • Serve as the SuccessFactors DevOps focal point, orchestrating execution and delivery.
    • Foster a self-organizing team, providing coaching, feedback, and inspiration.
    • Own and track progress towards Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring alignment with business goals.

    Decision-Making Autonomy

    • Implement system changes according to best practices without requiring prior approval.
    • Organize and lead regular stakeholder meetings to discuss best practices, system enhancements, and issue resolutions.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
    • 8+ years of experience in IT application delivery, support, or customer-focused roles in a multinational or consultancy setting.
    • Experience in a focal point/team lead role within a Development or Operations team.
    • SAP Certified Associate SuccessFactors Employee Central Core (C_THR81) or Integration Developer (C_CPI_2404).
    • Strong expertise in SuccessFactors Employee Central Core, Position Management, and/or CPI Integrations.
    • Broad knowledge of SuccessFactors modules and their integration into HR business processes.
    • Ability to translate business needs into IT solutions and drive their end-to-end delivery.
    • Experience in Agile/DevOps methodologies with prior exposure to Lean Six Sigma as a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with proficiency in English.
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
