Job Description

Job Title: Network and Database Administrator Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Network and Database Administrator to manage and maintain our organizations network infrastructure and database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless operation, security, and performance of our IT environment, providing technical support and implementing solutions to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities: Network Administration: Design, install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, minimizing downtime and disruptions. Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection. Perform regular updates and patches to network devices and systems. Document network configurations, changes, and system upgrades. Provide technical support and training to staff as needed. Database Administration: Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB). Optimize database performance, including tuning queries, indexes, and schemas. Perform regular database backups and implement disaster recovery procedures. Ensure data integrity, security, and availability. Manage user access and permissions to databases. Monitor database performance metrics and troubleshoot issues. Develop and implement data migration plans and support software updates. General IT Responsibilities: Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices. Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to systems. Create and maintain technical documentation for IT systems.
