The Construction Rigging Foreman is expected to provide implemental instruction to team members based on the scope of work, while also working as the company representative with vendors and customers. The Foreman will be lifting and hoisting, positioning, moving and transporting heavy loads of equipment with other members of the crew team in a safe manner. Rigging relocations of the commercial and industrial equipment are relied heavily upon as a core service of the business.
To be successful in this position, the Construction Rigging Foreman must demonstrate the ability to stay focused, possess leadership skills, and work as a team player.
He/she must have the ability to establish and maintain relationships with other staff, employees, and the general public. The Construction Rigging Foreman must communicate information clearly and effectively to all parties.
It is also vital for the Construction Rigging Foreman to complywith all company safety programs, policies and procedures. The Construction Rigging Foreman must be able to pass a drug screening test and work in a drug free workplace.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Track and maintain paperwork of any changes that occur while on the job
- Log billable hours on the job by filling out he timesheet
- Responsible for performance of crew and customer satisfaction
- Communicate all factors of the job to Operations Manager
- Accountable for all equipment and tools used during the job
- Lift & hoist, position, move, & transport heavy loads
- Set up and rig large-scale equipment
- Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and/or structures
- Test mechanical products or equipment
- Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand
- Signal directions or warnings to co-workers
- Understand crane operations and signal directions or warnings to crane operator
- Install, maintain, and dispose batteries
- Lift, load, and unlock trucks
