Job Summary for Assistant Finance Manager: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) or an equivalent finance professional with a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and a proven ability to handle Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis: -Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. -Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, assess financial performance, and provide insights to management. -Prepare budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against these targets. -Analyse P&L accounts in detail, identifying key drivers of revenue and expenses. -Develop and implement cost-saving measures and improve operational efficiency. Financial Planning & Budgeting: -Assist in the development and implementation of the company's annual budget. -Prepare financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making. -Analyse and evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations. Taxation: -Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. -Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other relevant taxes. -Advise management on tax planning and optimization strategies. Internal Controls: -Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. -Conduct regular internal audits to identify and mitigate risks. Other Duties and responsibilities: -Supervise the accounts team and coordinate with them to resolve their queries to maintain smooth flow of operations. -Ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned. -Conduct the physical verification of Inventory at the intervals as decided by the senior management. -Monitor and manage working capital limits, ensuring efficient utilization within approved limits, and prepare and submit monthly stock statements to banks. -Prepare and submit the MIS monthly to the top management and Profit and Loss (PNL) at Brand level and SKU Level in the frequency as asked by the Management. -Assist the CS team in identifying key statutory filings, such as ECB Returns, APR Filings, and other -ODI compliances as applicable to the entity. -Set up and determine the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) for newly launched articles/products in line with pricing strategies, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements. -Identifying the slow-moving SKU and ensure the correction actions are being taken by the Business Team. -Responsible for liaising with banks to manage financial transactions, ensure compliance with banking regulations, and negotiate optimal terms for the company. -Collaborate with the Business Team to develop discount strategies and marketing budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and alignment with financial goals. Qualifications: -Education: Professional accounting qualification (MBA in Finance, CMA). -Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in a corporate finance environment (Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in the Retail Sector) Skills: Mandatory: Strong understanding of P&L accounts and financial statement analysis. Essential: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.,
