- Job Title: Network System Engineer Location: Powai, Mumbai. Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Network System Engineer to manage and maintain our offices IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all computer systems, networks, and software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of network configuration, user management, asset management, troubleshooting, and security protocols. They will also be responsible for supporting employees with their IT needs, managing permissions, and maintaining up-to-date IT records. Key Responsibilities: Network Management & Security: Configure and maintain the office network, including routers, switches, and wireless access points. Ensure the office network is equipped with firewalls, antivirus, and other security protocols to protect against threats. Troubleshoot network issues and optimize network performance. IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide day-to-day technical support for all office employees, including resolving issues related to hardware, software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook. Support with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of office devices like computers, printers, and peripherals. Assist employees with IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including managing permissions for new and exiting employees. Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all IT hardware and software assets, ensuring they are properly tracked, assigned, and maintained. Manage the repair and maintenance schedule of office devices to ensure timely repairs and replacements. Purchase, install, and configure IT equipment when necessary. User & Permission Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in line with company policies. Support with the onboarding and offboarding process by configuring and deactivating IT resources for employees. Security & Data Protection: Implement and maintain security protocols, including encryption, backup solutions, and user access controls. Ensure antivirus and security software are installed, updated, and functioning properly on all devices. Educate employees on IT policies and best practices to maintain network and data security. General IT Administration: Manage software updates and patches for office systems and ensure compliance with IT policies. Maintain relationships with external vendors for IT services, repairs, and purchases. Assist with IT project planning and execution, including upgrades and new system implementations. Requirements: Proven experience as an Network System Engineer, IT Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or similar role. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Windows operating systems, and basic networking (LAN, WAN, VPN). Experience in network configuration and security, including firewalls and antivirus software. Proficiency in managing permissions, user accounts, and IT asset management. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Familiarity with IT policies, security protocols, and best practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus. At least 2+ years of experience in IT administration or related field.,
