Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced Node.js Developer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high-performance, scalable and secure applications. You should be proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful APIs, databases and cloud services. Responsibilities Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, Express.js and Nest.js (optional). Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for web and mobile applications. Optimize application performance and scalability. Work with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, etc.) for data storage and retrieval. Implement authentication & authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.). Work with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.) for real-time applications. Integrate third-party services, APIs and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP). Troubleshoot and debug applications to improve reliability and performance. Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing and best coding practices. Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers and other stakeholders for seamless integration. Maintain proper documentation for all development work. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Node.js development. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience with Express.js, Nest.js or Koa.js. Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture and non-blocking I/O. Proficiency in working with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL or Redis). Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and API development. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git and DevOps practices. Knowledge of security best practices in API development. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git). Preferred Skills (Good to Have): Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Firebase Functions, etc.). Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time applications (Socket.io). Exposure to GraphQL API development. Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Jest, Mocha or Chai. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, Datadog, ELK stack).
