Location: Pune (Aundh) - Work From Office Opportunity: Join our innovative team as a Lead Database Administrator (PostgreSQL DBA) and contribute to revolutionizing the financial technology sector by ensuring the robustness and security of our database infrastructure. Experience: 6- 9 years of experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration is mandatory What you will do: Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify database system requirements and performance objectives. Schedule and coordinate database maintenance activities, including backups, upgrades, and patch deployments. Oversee and direct the implementation of database solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices. Design and implement database schemas, indexes, and query optimization strategies to maximize performance and scalability. Plan and execute database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing, to protect sensitive financial data. Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning exercises to optimize database resource utilization and ensure scalability. Monitor and evaluate database system performance and health, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliability. Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for junior DBAs and other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Mentor and guide junior DBAs, providing technical expertise and leadership to support their professional development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Certification in PostgreSQL administration, or related technologies is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing techniques. Familiarity with database security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements, such as PCI-DSS and GDPR. ,
