Cloud Database Engineer Product operations @ Oracle

Job Description

Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining Oracle autonomous database services with deep focus on production operations, capacity planning, performance management, deployment, assist AMS team during OBCS SaaS release DB patches Manage the deployment, configuration, and production support for GoldenGate Hub / OCI GoldenGate Service Identify and build production DB monitoring infrastructure in collaboration with OBCS SRE team using Autonomous DB self-service APIs Define daily production DB monitoring practices for AMS shift engineers through SOPs Identify DB performance bottlenecks like expensive SQL Queries using distributed tracing and report the same to corresponding product owners and make sure fixes are delivered for the same. Assist SaaS customers in case of DB data movements across tenant environments. Apply DB Hot fixes across system and tenant DBs Provide guidance to reporting DBAs in terms of performing day to day tasks and learnings. Drives and actively participates in the resolution of complex technical issues related to DB instances.
