Developer portal that allows teams to document APIs and expose them to internal or external developers through a customizable portal. Security & governance mechanisms to maintain a robust API infrastructure. This role is an engineering leadership role of the UI (frontend) team in Bangalore, India that works on many different parts of the Konnect user experience and drives the underlying UI platform. This opportunity requires you to work from our office in Bangalore, India in a hybrid manner with three days in the office and two days working from home. As a leader, we expect you to maximize your time with the team and deliver outcomes efficiently. What You'll Do Build and Lead a High-Performing Team: Establish and guide a top-notch frontend engineering team that consistently achieves outstanding results. Attract and Develop Talent: Attract, mentor, and retain exceptional engineering talent while fostering their professional growth within Kong's engineering organization. Collaborate on Strategy and Design: Work closely with product managers and designers to define, refine, and execute strategies, roadmaps, and user experiences for Kong Konnect features. Manage Stakeholder Communications: Ensure clear and effective communication with all stakeholders to align on project goals and progress. Deliver Multiple Product Features: Successfully manage the delivery of multiple product features simultaneously, maintaining high quality and efficiency. Oversee Agile Processes: Lead agile workstreams to ensure projects and initiatives are executed on time and within scope. Engage with Customers: Interface directly with customers and field teams to gather insights on use cases, pain points, and opportunities for innovation; integrate this feedback into product enhancements. Drive Business Outcomes: Own key objectives that directly impact business success, contributing to increased revenue growth for Kong. What You'll Bring Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. 2+ years of experience in engineering management with a focus on building and leading high-performing teams. 5+ years of frontend development experience for SaaS applications. Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like Vue.js and React. Experience with design systems and microfrontend architectures. Strong design sensibility and experience working with Product and Design teams to bring applications to market. Adherence to best practices in frontend testing and continuous delivery. Expertise in monitoring and observability for ensuring application availability, resilience, and performance. Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration. Bonus: Familiarity with API Gateways and Developer Portals.,
