Your Impact: Our Platform Trust Engineers ensure that once features has been released to customers, our team of empowered, follow-the-sun engineers, proactively monitor service health, ideally find and fix problems before our customers notice issues, and thereby deliver exceptional experiences to our customers. Our initial area of focus will be Go To Market Automation: The Go To Market Automation (GTMA) teams are building and launching a new platform within Salesforce, which will provide customers with the flexibility to handle how they buy, budget and consume usage entitlements across their Salesforce investment. GTMA will provide visibility so customers can track usage across products, making it easy to optimize their spend. This will be unlocked via streamlined self-service experiences. In addition to empowering our customers with self-service experience GTMA will equip our internal distribution teams with usage insights and sizing calculators to minimize deal friction and increase revenue opportunities. This new platform will transform how Salesforce sells our products and capabilities to our customers. We plan on continuing to increase our scope of responsibility across additional features as the team onboard and becomes proficient in Go to Market Automation services As part of this role, you will: Respond to Production Issues, through triaging, reproducing, and identify and implement solutions and tests to bring the customers experiences back to health. Monitor Critical Service Signals and Improve our Services Availability, including settling critical Production signals, adding instrumentation and alerts; and building dashboards. Design improvements to existing features to improve fundamental engineering vulnerabilities. Additionally, you will: Work in partnership with the product engineering team, and share service ownership responsibility with the product engineering team. As a Customer Advocate and SME, you will provide the Product team with feedback on existing and upcoming features to improve the customer experience. As an SME in our services, you will provide feedback to the engineering team to improve their engineering processes and design. Master our development process, culture and code base, and improve it Operate effectively in the hybrid engineering model where engineers are encouraged to be able to craft and complete the vital work to ensure quality in their own code as well as other engineers Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes Present your own designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics Participate in the teams on-call rotation to address sophisticated problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available Required Skills: A related technical degree required 5+ years of professional software development experience Deep knowledge of object oriented programming and experience with at least one object oriented programming language (Java, Javascript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python) Proficiency with monitoring software (such as New Relic) and standard processes High proficiency in at least one high-level programming language and web framework (NodeJS, Express, Hapi, etc.) Proven understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, JSON, and/or Ajax Validated understanding of Database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL and relational database schema design Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using Java, JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium You are a strong communicator and are experienced explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers Passion for ensuring the customer has an exceptional experience using our products Curiosity about systems, and a desire to solve puzzles You are motivated by helping other engineers succeed. When things break and they will you are eager and able to help analyze and fix things. You like thinking of ways to improve efficiency or bring delight to the people you work with Preferred Skills: Experience building highly scalable web applications. Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
