Job Description
Job Description:
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, switches, and controllers.
- Ensure the stability and integrity of Data, voice and wireless network services.
- Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP ,DHCP, DNS.).
- Knowledge of ITIL process.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable and flexible when necessary.
- Responsible for monitoring network link usage and Daily health check of critical devices.
- Configuring and installing network devices and Syslog,Tacacs system
- Firmware and IOS upgrades of Layer-2 switch.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing of hardware, software, and other network problems.
- Implement security measure in LAN network.
- Coordination with operations team & senior team members in case of critical incidents and major network outage.
- Daily activities updates, follow-up on SLA.
- Ticket categorization and quality parameters, Work and resolve incident with proper technical updates
- Follow up with vendor and admin team for cabling related work.
- Strong understanding of wireless infrastructure and hardware.
- Operational troubleshooting outages experience
- Experience opening Cisco TAC cases and driving problem resolutions
- Responsible for management of the IP address database
- Responsible for maintaining up to date asset inventory database
- Taking backups and maintaining same
- Creation of knowledge base on the network

- Technical expertise on all following platforms
- Cisco catalyst and Nexus switching and wireless
- Cisco Prime Infrastructure
- Cisco ISE
- Meraki switching and wireless
- Aruba switching and wireless
- Conceptually strong in following switching and wireless technology
- HSRP/VRRP
- STP/VTP/VLAN
- VSS
- Ether-Channels, Stacking of switches
- Stand-alone AP, Local,Flex-connectsRole & responsibilities
