The Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales in a specified area or region within the FMCG sector.
This role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual who will manage relationships with
distributors, retailers, and consumers to achieve sales targets, increase market penetration, and
build brand awareness. The Sales Officer will be responsible for executing sales strategies and
ensuring effective distribution of FMCG products.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales && Target Achievement: Achieve sales targets and objectives set for the assigned
territory.
Distribution Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and
retailers, ensuring the timely delivery and availability of products.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to
identify opportunities for growth.
Product Visibility && Merchandising: Ensure that FMCG products are prominently displayed
in retail outlets and follow brand guidelines.
Promotional Activities: Execute promotional campaigns and product activations in
collaboration with the marketing team.
Reporting && Documentation: Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and customer
feedback for management review.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support to retailers and
distributors, resolving any issues promptly.
Stock Management: Ensure proper stock levels at customer locations and take necessary
action to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
Training && Development: Provide training and guidance to the sales team and distributors
on product knowledge and sales techniques.
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales or distribution management in the FMCG industry (minimum of 6
months-3 years).
Strong knowledge of the FMCG market, products, and distribution channels.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other sales tools.
A proactive approach to solving problems and handling challenges.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
