Job Roles: Equity research analysts play a crucial role in the financial markets by providing in-depth analysis of publicly traded companies to investors. Here are some of their key job roles:
Company Analysis:
Fundamental Analysis: Analyze a company's financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) to assess its financial health and performance.
Industry Analysis: Research industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment to understand the company's position within its sector.
Qualitative Analysis: Evaluate management quality, competitive advantages, growth prospects, and other qualitative factors that impact a company's performance.
Valuation:
Develop Financial Models: Create financial projections to forecast future revenue, earnings, and cash flows.
Perform Valuation: Employ various valuation methodologies (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions) to determine a company's intrinsic value.
Investment Recommendations:

Eligibility Criteria: BBA, BCom, (MBA Preferred) Preferred: NISM and NISM-Series-XV: Research Analyst Certification Examination
