As a Power System Engineer, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, operation, and optimization of electrical power systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the development, testing, and deployment of electrical infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Power System Analysis & Design: Perform steady-state and dynamic analyses of electrical power systems using advanced software tools (e.g., PSCAD, PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory). Conduct load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, stability, and fault analysis. Design and specify components for electrical power systems, including substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks. Develop system models for various scenarios and provide solutions for power system optimization. System Protection & Control: Design, implement, and test protection and control systems for electrical networks. Perform coordination of protective relays and devices, ensuring proper settings for system protection. Troubleshoot and resolve protection system issues during both routine operations and emergencies. Technical Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, system studies, and analysis findings. Provide accurate and timely documentation for system upgrades, testing, and regulatory compliance. Create clear and concise presentations of technical data for both internal teams and external stakeholders. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work collaboratively with electrical engineers, project managers to ensure successful project execution. Participate in technical discussions and contribute to process improvements. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, regulatory changes, and best practices in power system engineering. What are we looking for Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (Master s degree is a plus). Experience in power system engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and optimization. Proficient in power system analysis software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory. Solid understanding of electrical network components, including transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and conductors. Experience with protection and control system design, relay coordination, and fault analysis. Familiarity with national and international standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ANSI).
