- Overview The Big Data Hadoop Developer_AI plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of large-scale data processing systems. This position requires a strong foundation in big data technologies and a deep understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem. As organizations increasingly rely on data-driven decision-making, the demand for skilled professionals who can manage, manipulate, and analyze vast amounts of data is growing. The Big Data Hadoop Developer_AI will work collaboratively with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into effective technology solutions. They will be essential in designing, implementing, and configuring Hadoop-related services and frameworks, which will drive key initiatives and innovations within the company. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a complex environment, possesses excellent technical skills, and communicates effectively across teams. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable data processing systems using the Hadoop ecosystem. Develop and optimize MapReduce jobs to process large datasets efficiently. Write complex queries in HiveQL and work on data warehousing solutions. Perform ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Hadoop. Integrate and configure Apache Spark for real-time big data processing. Collaborate with data scientists to understand and implement data models. Implement data pipelines and workflows using tools like Oozie. Utilize NoSQL databases such as HBase for high-volume data storage. Monitor and troubleshoot the Hadoop cluster to ensure high availability and performance. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices. Document processes, architectures, and system configurations. Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering. Perform data analysis to derive actionable insights and support business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and determine data solutions. Ensure data quality and adherence to governance standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Big Data Developer or similar role. Strong understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem and its components. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Scala. Experience with ETL tools and data migration techniques. Hands-on experience with data storage technologies, including HDFS and HBase. Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools. Experience in performing data analysis and tuning for optimal performance. Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Certifications in Hadoop or big data technologies are preferred. Experience in working with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
