Job Description
- As a Sr Backend Engineer, youll take the reins in shaping scalable and user-centric products. You will design, build, and optimize both backend and frontend systems, driving our product vision to reality. In this hands-on role, youll work closely with a small, focused team to deliver seamless, high-performance solutions for brands and users alike. Responsibilities Backend System Design & Development: Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems to support personalized content recommendation features. AI Integration: Collaborate with the AI and data science teams to integrate AI models into the backend systems, ensuring seamless content delivery and personalization. API Design and Optimization: Build, maintain, and optimize APIs and microservices for data exchange between backend systems and AI-driven content engines. Data Handling & Optimization: Design and optimize data pipelines to support the processing and delivery of large datasets for AI algorithms, ensuring low latency and high availability. System Scalability & Performance: Ensure backend systems are optimized for performance and scale to handle large volumes of data and users. Apply best practices for high availability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource management. Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with front-end engineers, AI engineers, product managers, and designers to define technical requirements and deliver integrated product features. Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Ensure the backend systems adhere to high standards of coding practices, security, and reliability. Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them improve their coding skills and engineering practices. Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Troubleshooting and Debugging: Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues, ensuring a seamless experience for users and stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess the performance of backend systems and propose improvements. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in backend technologies and AI integrations to drive innovation. Agile Development: Contribute to a fast-paced, iterative development process within an agile environment. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve the team's processes. Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for backend systems, APIs, and technical processes to ensure knowledge sharing and team alignment. Security and Data Privacy: Implement robust security protocols to safeguard user data and ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR). Collaboration with Product & Business Teams: Work closely with product teams to align technical development with business goals and user needs, ensuring that backend solutions effectively support the companys growth.
