- Technical Head of Telematics We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Technical Head of Telematics to lead our telematics division. This role requires a candidate with 10+ years of experience in software development, IoT, cloud integration, and telematics technologies, capable of driving innovation, managing teams, and ensuring seamless implementation of telematics solutions. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategy: Define the technical strategy and roadmap for telematics solutions in alignment with the companys vision and business objectives. Lead a cross-functional team of developers, engineers, and product managers to deliver innovative telematics products and services. Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in telematics to maintain a competitive edge. Technical Expertise: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of telematics systems, including IoT-enabled devices, APIs, cloud platforms, and data analytics tools. Ensure robust integration of hardware and software, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with firmware, backend, and frontend development teams to create seamless user experiences. Product Development and Delivery: Oversee end-to-end development of telematics solutions, including vehicle tracking, predictive maintenance, fleet management, and remote diagnostics. Manage the lifecycle of telematics products, including requirement gathering, architecture design, testing, and implementation. Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality telematics products that meet customer expectations. Team Management: Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical and professional skills. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including business development, sales, and operations teams, to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions. Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, partners, and vendors. Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications. Data Analytics and Reporting: Develop frameworks for analyzing telematics data to derive actionable insights for customers and internal stakeholders. Implement data security measures to protect sensitive customer and vehicle information. Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, and strategic initiatives. Qualifications and Skills Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field. 13+ years of experience in telematics, IoT, cloud computing, or software development, with a focus on large-scale systems. Strong knowledge of telematics protocols (CAN, MQTT, TCP/IP), IoT devices, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, Javascript or C++. Work experience on SQL/NoSQL is mandatory Good to have time-series database knowledge. Proven track record of managing end-to-end telematics projects and delivering high-quality solutions. Hands-on experience with analytics tools, big data processing, and real-time systems. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with automotive and fleet management systems is a plus.
