Job Description
- Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Optimize space utilization and improve warehouse layout for efficiency.
- Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Inventory Control & Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure regular stock checks.
- Minimize stock discrepancies through audits and reconciliations.
- Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and other inventory management techniques.
- Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Manage, train, and mentor warehouse staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure team productivity.
- Foster a positive and safety-oriented work environment.
- Shipping, Receiving & Logistics:
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments for smooth operations.
- Handle inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation.
- Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce warehouse safety guidelines and ensure compliance with OSHA or other local regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper equipment handling.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory control software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and distribution processes.
- Ability to analyze data and improve operational efficiencies.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
