- Job Title: L2 Networking and Security Engineer Experience Required : 3-4 Years Location: Andheri, Chakala Client: LGT Wealth India Job Summary: The Networking and Security Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a companys network infrastructure and security systems. The position requires hands-on experience with networking hardware, network protocols, and security technologies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Network Design and Implementation: Design and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable network infrastructures. Install and configure network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Optimize network performance through monitoring and troubleshooting. 2. Network Security: Implement and manage network security measures to protect the network from cyber threats. Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and apply patches or updates to network equipment and systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal security policies. 3. Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network traffic to identify performance issues or potential security threats. Resolve network outages or connectivity problems and minimize downtime. Analyze traffic patterns, bandwidth usage, and other network metrics. 4. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with the IT team to support network and security initiatives across the organization. Provide technical support and troubleshooting to end-users regarding network and security issues. Document network configurations, security policies, and incident reports. 5. Cybersecurity Awareness and Training: Stay up-to-date on the latest networking and cybersecurity trends and threats. 6. Disaster Recovery and Backup: Ensure network data is regularly backed up and can be restored in case of disaster. Implement redundancy and failover strategies to maintain network uptime during failures. Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Certifications: Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or similar are a plus. * *Experience: Proven experience in network administration, network security, or related roles. Experience with firewall management, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies. Knowledge of networking protocols and routing/switching protocols. * *Skills: Proficiency with network monitoring tools Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices. Analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment: Office-based, with occasional on-site troubleshooting and maintenance. On-call support may be required for network/security issues outside of regular hours.
