Nuclei is currently undergoing expansion across Asia, SEA & MEA Senior Backend Engineer (Service Project) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our Banking project team. As a Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure for our service-oriented project. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, leveraging the latest technologies to deliver cutting-edge service. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient backend solutions. Design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure and services for the project, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code using best practices and coding standards. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to architectural guidelines. Optimize the backend systems for maximum speed and scalability, considering factors such as data storage, caching, and processing. Implement security measures and best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Collaborate with frontend developers and other stakeholders to integrate frontend and backend components seamlessly. Identify and troubleshoot performance and reliability issues, providing timely resolutions and optimizations. Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience 5 to 8 years Proven experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in a senior or lead role, with a strong focus on service-oriented projects. Good working knowledge of Java, Spring, and Hibernates Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services. Strong knowledge of database systems and SQL, with experience in designing and optimising database schemas. Experience with microservices architecture and containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in version control systems, preferably Git. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience in deploying and managing applications on the cloud. Understanding of software development principles, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and propose effective solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good to have: Knowledge of message broker systems like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka. Understanding of front-end technologies such as Android, iOS, Web Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure automation and monitoring.
