- Team Lead Generative AI Engineer Overview The Team Lead Generative AI Engineer plays a critical role in the organization's efforts to innovate and harness the power of generative artificial intelligence technologies. This position not only requires advanced technical expertise in AI and machine learning but also necessitates strong leadership capabilities to guide a team of engineers towards achieving project milestones and strategic objectives. The Team Lead will oversee the development and implementation of AI models, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Additionally, this role is integral to fostering a collaborative environment where team members can share ideas and pursue continuous improvement. By inspiring and mentoring a group of skilled engineers, the Team Lead will drive initiatives that leverage generative AI to optimize processes, enhance product offerings, and create value for clients and stakeholders, positioning the organization at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers in the development of generative AI models. Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery to meet stakeholders" expectations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize AI opportunities. Develop and implement best practices for machine learning and AI development. Stay updated on the latest advancements in generative AI and related technologies. Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality. Establish performance metrics and analytics to measure the success of AI models. Develop technical documentation for models and processes for future reference. Engage with external partners and stakeholders to align on project goals. Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure successful completion. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team. Resolve conflicts and issues within the team in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Contribute to technical recruiting efforts to build a strong engineering team. Required Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field. 5+ years of experience in AI and machine learning development. 2+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead role. Proficiency in Python and relevant AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch). Strong understanding of generative models (GANs, VAEs). Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and drive results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools. Experience in technical documentation and reporting. Knowledge of ethics in AI and machine learning. Proven track record of mentoring and developing junior team members.
