Job Description

Role : Mainframe Modernization Sr Architect - Reach out to hidden_email Key Responsibilities: This role will need expertise to drive solutions and customizing them for client context along with the long-term transformation roadmap in RFP, Proactive pursuits and other Customer requests related to Mainframe modernization Create Solution document (word / ppt) along with effort and duration estimates This role would also require to interface and collaborate with SLS, CRM, BD, GSA, Delivery team and Solution team from other Service Lines in pursuits Understanding of standard estimation methodologies for Application Development projects. Required Capabilities/Skills/Years of Experience: Mainframe Technologies: (10- 15 years) Expertise in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler. Deep understanding of mainframe environments (z/OS, IMS, CICS, TSO, JCL). Expertise with mainframe databases (e.g., DB2, IMS DB) and modern databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Good to Have Capabilities/Skills Experience in niche technologies such as ADSO/IDMS, NATURAL/ADABAS, IDEAL/DATACOM Modernization Tools and Techniques: (Microfocus, Astadia, Blue Age, Heirloom, TSRI any of this ) Knowledge of tools and methodologies for mainframe-to-cloud migrations. Familiarity with re-platforming, re-hosting, re-factoring and re-engineering legacy systems. Knowledge of cloud technologies and services, especially those relevant for mainframe migration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in large-scale projects. Knowledge of integrating mainframe systems with modern applications and architectures. Knowledge about data migration processes and tools. Knowledge of security best practices for both mainframe and cloud environments. Understanding of compliance requirements relevant to mainframe data and applications. Skills in optimizing mainframe performance and efficiently transitioning to modern platforms.
