Database Engineer Permanent Role Based in Bangalore, India Responsibilities will include: Being part of the teams 24/7/365 global support of on-premises and cloud DB servers in a follow-the sun model; provide on-call support responsibilities. Monitor & measure the performance & availability of platform proactively, and implement automated corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability. Collaborate with partner support teams to remediate production issues with high urgency. Collaborate with the IT Security and Engineering teams to audit, document, and support RBAC on the platform. Conduct root cause analysis & implement and develop automated pro-active measures. Monitor effectiveness of implemented measures. Support multiple CI/CD database releases and deployments. Support development teams for enhancements, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Use and improve workflows and procedures to ensure consistency and auditability in a managed database infrastructure. Use the database platform automation in Sprint cycles. Work within and enforce security and regulatory compliance procedures. Developing, managing and testing database backup and recovery plans. Perform database preventive maintenance and execute annual DR exercise. Preferred background, skills, and experience: 3+ years of database administration experience supporting MS SQL Server, (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB is a plus). Knowledge of SQL programming is mandatory. Experience with compliance/security controls for database systems. Expertise in troubleshooting DB servers problems and performance. Knowledge of cloud database platforms, preferably AWS. Knowledge of DBMS/Warehouse concepts and technologies. 3+ years of expertise with Windows and SQL Server platforms (Linux is a plus). Education: Bachelors degree in computer sciences or related technical discipline Microsoft SQL Server Certification is preferred.,
