Job Description
- Key Responsibilities: Design and Develop Test Plans: Create test plans and test cases based on product specifications, performance requirements, and compliance standards. Develop and implement test strategies, processes, and methodologies for electronic components and systems. Test Execution: Perform functional, electrical, environmental, and mechanical testing on electronic components, devices, and systems. Run automated and manual tests to validate hardware and firmware functionality. Fault Detection and Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose issues related to electronic systems, circuits, or components. Work with engineers to resolve problems and suggest design improvements. Documentation: Record test results, failures, and any observations in detailed reports. Ensure accurate documentation of test procedures, configurations, and testing environments for future reference. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that electronic devices meet industry standards (e.g., ISO, CE, UL, RoHS) and regulatory requirements (such as safety, electromagnetic compatibility). Conduct compliance testing and ensure products are designed for high reliability and safety. Test Automation and Tools Development: Design and maintain automated test scripts and use test management tools to improve testing efficiency. Develop or improve test equipment and test setups to support the testing process. Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to understand design specifications and performance goals. Provide feedback to the design and development teams for product improvements based on test results. Failure Analysis and Reporting: Analyze failures and provide feedback for corrective actions. Investigate product defects and recommend corrective measures to improve product quality and performance. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements for test coverage, test tools, and testing environments to increase efficiency. Keep up to date with new testing technologies and methodologies in the electronics industry. Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electronics, circuits, systems, and embedded systems. Familiarity with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and multimeters. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C, Python, MATLAB) for test automation. Experience with automated testing tools and software such as LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar platforms. Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., CE, RoHS, UL). Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex electrical issues and identify root causes of system failures. Strong troubleshooting skills to test, analyze, and fix problems in hardware and software. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail when performing tests and documenting results. Capability to identify even minor discrepancies in performance. Communication Skills: Ability to create clear, detailed test reports and document findings. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in electronics testing or a similar field, preferably in product testing, R&D, or quality assurance. Experience with test equipment setup, testing protocols, and troubleshooting electronics. Work Environment: Work in a lab or production facility with access to advanced testing equipment. May involve occasional travel to manufacturing sites or client locations for on-site testing and product evaluations.
