Job Description

Executive Chef

We are looking to hire a commendable Executive Chef to manage the kitchen staff and to resolve kitchen issues swiftly. The Executive Chef attracts and retains staff, maintains a cooperative relationship with team members, optimizes staff productivity and serves as replacement in team members' absence. You will train staff to use new recipes, cooking techniques and equipment, and oversee cooks performing food preparation. You will oversee delivery of food supplies, prepare special dishes and supervise overall kitchen operation during dinner service.

To ensure success you will ensure your team delivers high-quality, cost-effective dishes promptly. Top candidates are creative, service-oriented and level-headed.

  • Ensuring promptness, freshness and quality of dishes.
  • Coordinating cooks' tasks.
  • Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness.
  • Designing new recipes, planning menus and selecting plate presentation.
  • Reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational and financial objectives.
  • Hiring and training kitchen staff, such as cooks, food preparation workers and dishwashers.
  • Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders.
  • Setting and monitoring performance standards for staff.
  • Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints

Kitchen Chef

  1. Organize the assigned work area and efficiently put away the orders
    2. Prepare and sell food within the recommended time frame to meet customer expectations
    3. Operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
    4. Produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff
    5. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at the assigned work area
    6. Prepare & cook all food items by the recipe and according to specification
    7. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
    8. Prepare all menu items by strictly following recipes and yield guide
    9. Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
    10. Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes, and other food items
    11. Slice, grind and cook meats and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods
    12. Wash and peel fresh fruits, vegetables and weigh, measure, and mix ingredients in correct proportions

Baker
