We are looking for a Debt Collector (Voice Process) to join our dynamic team. The role involves handling outbound and inbound calls to recover outstanding debts while ensuring a professional and customer-friendly approach. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a good understanding of U.S. debt collection laws.
Make outbound calls and receive inbound calls to recover past-due payments.
Negotiate payment plans and settlements while adhering to company policies and legal guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment commitments, and account updates.
Follow up with debtors on agreed payment arrangements to ensure timely payments.
Handle objections and disputes while maintaining professionalism and compliance.
Adhere to FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and other applicable debt collection laws.
Use skip-tracing tools and techniques to locate debtors who are difficult to contact.
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets.
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred).
1+ years of experience in a call center debt collection or customer service role.
Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA, and other debt collection laws is a plus.
Proficiency in using CRM software and call center tools.
Ability to handle high-volume calls while maintaining professionalism.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus!
Flexible to work in shifts (including evenings and weekends if required).
