We are hiring an Automation Engineer with a strong background in in product manufacturing assembly process and automation to join the Schneider Electric Solar + Storage team in Bangalore. What will you do Involve in early product development stages to understand manufacturing processes and identify automation opportunities. Develop automation plans with cross-functional teams and collaborate with suppliers to conceptualize cost-effective solutions. Prepare 3D Work Instructions and Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) while providing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) inputs. Support prototype development, pilot runs, and ensure smooth implementation of automation in factories. Optimize costs, increase productivity, and improve product quality by improved manufacturing processes. Interface with design engineers for new product development and manage post-launch product changes. Lead the specification, implementation, and qualification of manufacturing processes in compliance with SPS principles. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and develop new layouts for enhanced efficiency. What qualifications will make you successful Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.) Proven experience in product development and manufacturing processes. Experience in automation and robotics integration. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Familiarity with conveyor systems, pneumatics, robotics, and automation technologies. Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration. Ability to develop and implement project plans within specified timelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and optimize processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and suppliers. Understanding of lean principles and value stream mapping for process improvement. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
