Job Description

    Role Description We are seeking an experienced Lead/Senior Engineer to manage complex IT infrastructure support and system administration. This position involves project planning, advanced production support, and resolution of technical issues for End User Computing systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in system maintenance, support, and enhancement, as well as the ability to provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff. The role includes the administration of IT hardware and software, addressing system failures, and driving improvements in technical infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance. The position also requires leadership in coordinating resources and acting as a technical resource for the team. Duties & Responsibilities Technical Support (40%) Lead the technical support for system installations, software testing, patches, and upgrades. Resolve complex technical issues and system failures, ensuring system stability. Administer and document technical support activities, including backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes. System Testing (20%) Coordinate with application support teams to test system functionality, performance, and resource consumption. Verify successful deployment of Windows 10/11 software, patches, and upgrades. Plan and perform technical activities to ensure resource availability for system implementations. System Enhancement (20%) Continuously monitor and improve systems, processes, and infrastructure. Automate support tasks using scripting or programming to increase technical efficiency. Technical Expertise & Leadership (20%) Stay updated with the latest research and developments in IT support. Provide clear, effective communication on technical matters to associates, vendors, and internal clients. Lead and mentor less experienced team members, overseeing advanced technical projects. Education Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma Required Area Of Experience Systems Engineer in IT-End User Computing Preferred Area Of Experience Windows 10/11 workstations, Networking, Windows O365, Meeting/Conference Room setups Local Site Support for End User Computing Asset/Inventory Management Skills End User Computing, Windows O365, Workstation, Networking,,
