Job Description

Design & Drafting for Rice Milling Operations:
- Develop and maintain detailed mechanical designs for rice milling equipment using AutoCAD.
- Update and revise drawings based on process improvements or modifications in plant operations.
- Collaborate with the design and maintenance teams to ensure all mechanical drawings adhere to rice milling industry specifications and plant standards.

Paperwork Coordination:
- Prepare, review, and manage comprehensive project documentation, technical reports, and maintenance records specific to rice milling operations.
- Ensure that all project paperwork is complete, accurate, and compliant with Nigerian regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Liaise with plant managers, contractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless documentation and communication.

Site Coordination & Supervision:
- Oversee the erection, installation, and commissioning of rice milling equipment at the plant.
- Work closely with site managers and contractors to ensure that installation work follows the approved design, safety guidelines, and operational standards.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise during the construction and installation phases.
- Implement and oversee maintenance protocols to ensure long-term operational efficiency of rice milling machinery.

Project Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, operations, and maintenance, to align project execution with operational goals.
- Provide technical guidance and support during plant modifications or upgrades.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute insights to drive continuous process improvements in rice milling operations.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all mechanical systems and installation practices meet relevant Nigerian codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintain stringent quality control measures throughout the lifecycle of projects.
- Document changes, updates, and inspection reports to maintain traceability and accountability.

Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.

Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years experience in mechanical design and site coordination, with specific experience in rice milling or related process industries highly preferred.
- Proven track record in using AutoCAD for detailed mechanical drafting and design in a manufacturing or processing environment.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong understanding of rice milling equipment, mechanical systems, and installation processes.
- Familiarity with Nigerian industrial standards and regulatory requirements related to mechanical engineering and process operations.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Certifications (Preferred):
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Additional certifications in process engineering or plant maintenance are an advantage.
