Job Description

We are a US based specialty medical practice looking for a Medical Biller to join our medical facilitys administrative team to process patient billing information. Responsibilities: Doing pre-filing coding, pre- billing audit and follow up of denials on billing claims. Pre-visit insurance eligibility check, coverage benefits and answering patients questions about their bills are added responsibilities. Ensure that all patient information is accurate and complete and request any missing patient information. Requirements and skills Proven work experience for 10 years as a Medical Biller or similar role (must have) Must have certification in coding and billing from an accredited US certifying agency. A Bachelors degree in business, health care administration, accounting or a related field is preferred Must be familiar with CPT and the latest coding guidelines. Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records Should be able to maintain patient confidentiality as per the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996). Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should have a problem-solving aptitude and be ready to work on resolving discrepancies.
