About Profile We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mooring Analysis Engineer to join our engineering analysis team. As an Engineering Analysis / Mooring Analysis Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient mooring of marine structures, vessels, and offshore platforms. The position will be responsible for technical development and project coordination for mooring and installation associated with floating structures. Your expertise will be essential in conducting comprehensive analyses, assessing risks, and providing innovative solutions to optimize mooring systems. Job Description & Responsibilities Perform thorough mooring and mooring system fatigue analyses for various floating structures and units, including FPSOs, FSUs, Crane barges, and/or buoys, Create and develop environmental load cases that are integral to mooring and mooring system fatigue analyses. Apply in-depth knowledge and practical expertise to analyze vessel motions. Demonstrate a clear understanding of metocean criteria and effectively apply this knowledge in the design and analysis of mooring systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards. Leverage knowledge and proficiency in the use of industry-relevant software, such as Optimoor, Orcaflex, and Ansys AQWA, Familiarity with these tools is considered advantageous. Generate comprehensive engineering reports, documentation, and technical specifications related to mooring system design, analysis, and optimization, ensuring clear communication of results and recommendations. Possess basic knowledge of Subsea systems, and riser analyses. Qualification Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's is a plus. Desired profile of the candidate 1. Proven experience in mooring and station-keeping analysis, and mooring system design. 2. Experience in hydrodynamics and motion analysis of floating platforms 3. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for mooring analysis (e.g., OrcaFlex, Optimoor, Ansys AQWA, SESAM, MOSES, etc.). 4. Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations, (e.g. API 2SK, ISO 19901-7, DNV E301) 5. Strong background in hydrodynamics, particularly as it pertains to the interaction between marine structures and the surrounding environment. 6. Programming experience desirable but not mandatory (e.g. Python, Matlab, etc.),
