Job Description
- Objective: We are looking for a skilled Design Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Draughtsman who is passionate about mechanical design and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing components and assemblies, utilizing CAD software, and contributing to the development of innovative mechanical solutions. This position offers a challenging environment to explore, innovate, and excel while achieving both personal and organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Concept Development: Create and develop concepts for new products and prepare evaluations. Design & Drafting: Design components and assemblies using Solid Edge and AutoCAD software. CAD Models & Drawings: Generate 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for both new and modified products, including structural, impact, heat transfer, and fluid flow analysis. Dimensioning & Design: Calculate and design structures and machine elements while ensuring precise dimensioning. Documentation & Analysis: Document calculation results, plan, and execute tests to verify the concepts and results. Project Coordination: Coordinate design interfaces within a project team and with suppliers for the seamless execution of projects. Technical Support: Provide technical support to other departments, including service teams for VMC, CNC, wire cutting, sparking, and conventional machinery. Cost Optimization: Reduce manufacturing costs through improved design and collaboration with the manufacturing department. Product Design & Modification: Work on new product design, design modification, material replacement, and reverse engineering. Manufacturing Packages: Prepare production drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and material indents. Customer Interaction: Prepare CAD models for customer approval and manage customer-specific designs. Documentation: Create technical documentation such as 2D drawings, ISO drawings, dimensional chains, and CE marking. Laser Cutting & Fabrication: Develop laser cutting layouts and fabrication drawings for manufacturing. Design Calculations: Perform design calculations and select appropriate motors, gearboxes, and bearings for components. Project Planning: Conduct project planning and execute the design cycle, including layout and general arrangement drawings. Software Skills: AutoCAD 2023 Solid Edge 2022 MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) Qualifications: Education: Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience in mechanical design or drafting. Skills: Strong proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD and Solid Edge, with a focus on design precision and documentation. Knowledge Areas: Experience in designing pharmaceutical equipment, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing processes. Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct design analysis, component selection, and technical calculations. Preferred Skills: Experience in designing complex mechanical systems such as granulation lines, dryers, mixers, and fluid bed coaters. Strong communication skills for interdepartmental coordination and customer interaction. Ability to present work results effectively within interdisciplinary project teams.
