Post: Quality Assurance & Quality Control In-Charge (Pharmaceutical Industry)

Functional Area: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Quality Assurance & Quality Control

A reputed pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Kolkata is seeking highly skilled professionals for the roles of Quality Assurance (QA) Officer and Quality Control (QC) In-Charge. The selected candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality, compliance, and regulatory adherence in the manufacturing of tablets and capsules.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (QA) Officer:

• Develop and implement quality measurement and improvement processes.

• Conduct in-process quality tests and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

• Maintain and update GMP documentation and quality control reports.

• Collaborate with the production and development teams to enhance product reliability.

• Identify, document, and rectify quality-related issues.

Quality Control (QC) In-Charge:

• Supervise and oversee daily activities of QC Analysts.

• Conduct and validate analytical testing, including HPLC and other test procedures.

• Maintain regulatory documentation, including batch records, validation protocols, and stability studies.

• Ensure compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

• Address technical queries and provide support to internal and external stakeholders.

• Troubleshoot laboratory issues and participate in project meetings to ensure quality compliance.

Candidate Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: B. Pharm / M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics / QA / QC / Industrial Pharmacy)

• Experience:

  • QA Officer: Minimum 2 years in a tablet & capsule manufacturing unit

  • QC In-Charge: Minimum 6 years in a tablet & capsule manufacturing unit

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and quality assurance/control processes.

• Expertise in HPLC and other analytical techniques (for QC In-Charge).

• Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
