- Job Title: Head of Research & Development (R&D) Location: Rashmi Metaliks Ltd. Reports To: CEO / Board of Directors Job Summary: The Head of R&D will be responsible for leading the research and development initiatives at Rashmi Metaliks Ltd., focusing on innovation in metallurgy and material science. The incumbent will drive product development, process improvements, and technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency and product quality. This role demands expertise in metallurgy, material science, and industrial R&D, along with strategic leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: Research & Development Strategy: Develop and implement R&D strategies aligned with the company's business goals. Identify and explore new materials, alloys, and advanced metallurgical techniques. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Product & Process Innovation: Lead the development of high-performance materials and process improvements. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to enhance product durability and cost-effectiveness. Evaluate and introduce cutting-edge technologies in material processing. Technology & Industry Collaboration: Partner with academic institutions, research bodies, and industry experts to drive innovation. Stay updated with global trends in metallurgy and material science. Implement AI, automation, and digital tools in R&D processes. Operational & Cost Optimization: Streamline R&D processes to reduce costs while improving efficiency. Enhance sustainability in material development and processing. Monitor and optimize production parameters based on R&D insights. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of R&D engineers and scientists. Drive knowledge-sharing initiatives and technical training programs. Ensure high standards of safety and compliance in R&D operations. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Number of successful product/process innovations. Reduction in material and production costs through R&D initiatives. Quality improvements and reduction in defects. Successful implementation of AI and digital technologies in R&D. Collaboration projects with reputed academic and research institutions. Compliance with industry and environmental standards. Qualifications & Experience: Education: B.Tech in Metallurgy / Material Science from IIT. Experience: 15+ years in industrial R&D, currently heading an R&D division. Expertise: Metallurgical research, advanced material processing, and industrial applications. Technical Skills: AI-driven R&D, Industry 4.0, sustainable materials, and process innovation. Leadership: Strong managerial and strategic planning abilities. Preferred Industry Exposure: Steel, Metals, Mining, Manufacturing, or Infrastructure sectors.,
