Administrator (DBA) to manage, monitor, and maintain our production databases. As our operations evolve and we handle critical client databases, we require a dedicated professional to ensure optimal database performance, security, and recovery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the smooth functioning of our databases, preventing issues, and swiftly addressing any database-related incidents. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain SQL, Oracle, and MySQL databases in a production environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Proactively monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues to prevent downtime. Handle critical database incidents such as file locking, corruption, and restore processes with minimal downtime. Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans to ensure client data is always protected. Collaborate with DevOps and other teams to ensure smooth integration of database solutions with the overall infrastructure. Implement and manage database security, including regular patching and updates to safeguard client data. Optimize queries, indexes, and databases to ensure efficient performance and scalability. Provide guidance and support during database migrations, upgrades, and patches. Perform regular health checks, maintenance, and capacity planning to ensure the database is prepared for future growth. Key Qualifications Certified DBA (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) with relevant credentials. Proven experience in database administration, preferably in a production environment dealing with critical client data. Expertise in resolving database issues, including file locking, corruption, and performance tuning. Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including high-availability solutions. Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools and optimization techniques. Familiarity with DevOps processes and database-related best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to act quickly in high-pressure situations. Ability to manage database configurations and performance in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Preferred Skills Experience in managing cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure, etc. Knowledge of database automation, including scripting and scheduling backups or maintenance tasks. Familiarity with database security and compliance best practices.
