- Job Title - Test Manager Exp - 8 - 16 yrs Work Location - Koregaon Park Pune Work Mode - Hybrid. The Opportunity As a Test Manager, youll be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of software test analysts. You will play a key role in ensuring that applications meet the highest quality assurance standards. You will oversee the quality control processes, implement best practices for quality assurance across the organization, and ensure compliance with established quality standards and accreditations. With line management responsibilities, you'll coach and guide your team, helping them develop their skills while applying best practices. The role may also involve customer-facing responsibilities, where your strong communication skills will be crucial. As a leader, you'll build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering leads, product owners, and solution architects. Key Responsibilities: Agile Participation: Actively participate in all aspects of Agile software development. Provide detailed advice regarding quality assurance practices. Attend and actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and 3 amigos sessions. Drive and support delivery-wide quality initiatives, ensuring that quality remains a core focus throughout the development process. Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and coach your direct reports, ensuring they grow professionally and develop new skills. Ensure your teams goals are aligned with broader company and project objectives. Provide regular feedback to help team members progress in their careers. Support a culture of continuous improvement, promoting collaboration and best practices across multiple projects and teams. Quality Assurance Leadership: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging quality technologies and methodologies. Define and measure key quality metrics such as test coverage, defect leakage rates, and test execution times. Address defects as they arise and contribute to their resolution while expanding quality systems to prevent recurrence. Foster collaboration and standardization across quality engineering teams. Hands-On Testing & Automation: Be directly involved in hands-on exploratory testing, test case design, and implementation. Contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks, ensuring they are effective, flexible, and reusable. Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and quality goals. Stakeholder Management: Act as a point of contact for stakeholders regarding all QA and testing-related matters. Work with product owners and engineering teams to ensure software is built for testability and quality is prioritized. Report progress and challenges with company-wide QA practices to senior management and stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Foster the evolution of QA practices within the organization, focusing on automation, continuous improvement, and modern testing techniques. Contribute to process improvements by integrating feedback, metrics, and new tools. Drive the adoption of new testing tools/technologies and foster an environment of experimentation and learning. What Were Looking For: Experience: 8+ years in commercial software development, with several years in a leadership or senior quality engineering role. Technical Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of technologies such as Object-Oriented Design, AWS, Java/.NET, Web Services, CRM systems, and Enterprise Databases. Experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, ng test, Jenkins). Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, Neoload, or LoadRunner. Solid understanding of TDD/BDD, acceptance criteria, and quality metrics. Skills: Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams. Strong ability to manage and report on quality metrics and KPIs. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, MSTest). A passion for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and personal growth. Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
