Job Description
- Roles & Responsibilities Air Product Operations: Shipment Coordination: Oversee the timely and efficient transportation of goods by air, ensuring adherence to shipping schedules and delivery deadlines. Customs Compliance: Ensure all imports and exports meet local and international customs regulations, including documentation such as bills of lading, air waybills, invoices, and certificates. Cargo Management: Monitor the loading, unloading, and storage of goods, ensuring they are handled with care and in accordance with safety regulations. Tracking & Reporting: Track air shipments from origin to destination, providing updates to customers and internal teams. Resolve any shipment discrepancies or delays promptly. Problem Resolution: Address any issues that arise during shipment processes, such as delays, damaged goods, or miscommunication, ensuring swift resolutions. Vendor & Airline Liaison: Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate shipments, and ensure that transportation costs are optimized. Air Product Procurement: Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key suppliers, airlines, and freight forwarders to negotiate competitive pricing and service terms. Cost Management: Assist in budget preparation and monitor air freight costs, striving to optimize transportation rates without compromising service quality. Procurement Documentation: Ensure accurate procurement records are maintained, including contracts, purchase orders, and inventory management. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for sourcing and securing the most efficient and cost-effective air freight services, including volume and rate negotiations. Market Research: Continuously analyze the air freight market for emerging trends, pricing changes, and potential new service providers. Forecasting & Planning: Work closely with the planning team to forecast future air cargo needs and procure the necessary resources in advance. General Responsibilities: Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure alignment on customer requirements, inventory needs, and overall logistics strategy. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all processes comply with international, national, and company-specific guidelines, including adherence to quality standards and risk management protocols. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline air import/export and procurement processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.,
