Project Leader Java @ Sysbiz Technologies

Coordinates project meetings, communicates status, readiness, business issues, technical issues, resource requirements and their resolution across functional organizations and management.

Facilitates and organizes daily stand - up meetings, iteration sizing and planning, retrospectives, and demonstrations

Collaborates with stakeholders to plan releases and ensure backlog maintenance

Ensures the delivery teams are practicing agile methodology and software engineering best practices

Identifies and removes any impediments or obstacles that prevents the delivery team from attaining sprint goals

Reports schedule progress, team status and issues to management

Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, creativity, and innovation

Aids the Scrum team with determining suitable commitments for stories, defects, and tasks

Successfully execute projects to agreed schedule, budget and scope Responsibilities:

Proactively identifies risks and issues; and implement the most appropriate solution

Identifies potential points of contention for missed deliverables; creates and implements strategy to mitigate shortfalls in timeline and budget

Identifies unstated customer expectations

Escalates to management/governance, as appropriate

Skills Requirements:

Experience of managing IT projects and personal accountability for delivering projects to time and cost Skills to manage one or more teams / projects simultaneously

IT background with experience across the SDLC with experience in all project phases

Knowledge and use of industry-standard project methods, tools and techniques

Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing Background Preference: 

7-12 Years of Industry experience in Software development using Java J2ee Technology.

Bachelors or equivalent preferred. Experience with Agile methodologies
