Position Title: FRIED CHICKEN COOK Location: 1747 Fritto Club Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Chef in Charge at 1747 Fritto Club Fried Chicken Shop will lead the kitchen team in preparing high-quality fried chicken and other menu items, ensuring a smooth operation while maintaining food safety standards and exceptional customer service. You will oversee kitchen staff, manage inventory, and implement efficient kitchen procedures to deliver consistent and delicious food to our guests. Key Responsibilities: Kitchen Leadership: Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations. Delegate tasks, train new kitchen staff, and ensure all team members are working efficiently. Provide guidance on food preparation techniques, portion control, and safety procedures. Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, cook, and present fried chicken, side dishes, and other menu items according to company standards. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet or exceed restaurant standards. Create new menu items or suggest seasonal specials in collaboration with the restaurant manager. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and ensure inventory is used efficiently. Manage ordering and receiving supplies to avoid shortages or overstock. Maintain proper storage of ingredients and ensure food is stored at appropriate temperatures. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the kitchen meets all food safety and sanitation standards, including cleanliness of workspaces, utensils, and equipment. Follow and enforce proper handling, cooking, and storage procedures to minimize foodborne illnesses. Conduct regular cleaning and safety checks on kitchen equipment. Customer Experience: Address customer inquiries or concerns related to food, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Work closely with the front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders. Staff Management & Development: Create work schedules for kitchen staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback, coaching, and training. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and communication. Budget & Cost Control: Assist in monitoring kitchen costs, ensuring that food waste is minimized and production is efficient. Adhere to budget guidelines and suggest cost-effective alternatives for ingredients and supplies. Qualifications: Proven experience as a chef, cook, or kitchen supervisor, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment. In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure during peak hours. Understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards. Passion for cooking and delivering high-quality food. Physical Requirements: Willingness to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress environment.
