- Job Title: Senior IT Security Engineer Location: Delhi Airport Department: IT Security Reports To: IT Security Manager / Director Budget: 12-14 LPA Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Security Engineer to join our dynamic IT Security team. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security infrastructures across the organization's systems, networks, and applications. The ideal candidate will be an expert in cybersecurity, with a deep understanding of security protocols, threat detection, and incident response, and will play a key role in protecting our data and infrastructure from cyber threats. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation strategies across the organizations network, systems, and applications. Design, implement, and manage security controls and technologies including: Firewalls Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) Encryption technologies VPNs Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design security protocols and best practices for secure system and network architecture. Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, including performing detailed forensics and root cause analysis. Maintain and enhance threat detection systems and practices, including real-time monitoring of security threats and vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments; provide detailed recommendations and remediation plans. Act as a point of escalation for security incidents, provide expert guidance during investigations, and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory compliance. Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks in the organization's infrastructure. Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and implement effective countermeasures as required. Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to junior security engineers and other IT staff. Work with management to define security strategies and plans for risk reduction and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Masters degree preferred). Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on: System and network security Risk management Incident response Strong knowledge of security frameworks and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, GDPR). Extensive experience with network security technologies such as: Firewalls IDS/IPS VPNs Web application firewalls Proficiency in security tools and platforms such as: SIEM Endpoint detection and response (EDR) Vulnerability management systems Hands-on experience with cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and risk management methodologies. Knowledge of encryption protocols, public/private key infrastructure (PKI), and identity and access management (IAM) systems. Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as: GDPR HIPAA PCI-DSS SOX Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP) are highly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams. Skills and Abilities Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail and deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
