Department: Quality Assurance / Quality ControlExperience: 3+ years in QA/QC for Solar EPC projects Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer QA/QC is responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and components in solar EPC projects comply with quality standards, regulations, and project specifications. The role involves inspection, testing, and documentation of electrical systems to ensure operational safety and performance. Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance & Quality Control: Implement QA/QC procedures and checklists for electrical components in solar power plants. Conduct inspections of electrical installations, cabling, and equipment such as inverters, transformers, and switchgear. Ensure compliance with national and international standards (IEC, NEC, IS, IEEE, etc.). Identify and rectify non-conformities in coordination with site engineers and contractors. Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and adherence to project specifications. Testing & Commissioning: Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for electrical systems in solar power plants. Conduct insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, earth resistance tests, and other quality checks. Coordinate with third-party testing agencies for validation and certification. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of test results, inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action reports. Prepare and review QA/QC reports, punch lists, and compliance documentation. Ensure proper documentation of work procedures, checklists, and as-built drawings. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and regulations on-site. Work closely with the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) team to enforce safe work practices. Monitor adherence to quality plans and recommend corrective actions when required. Coordination & Communication: Liaise with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality objectives are met. Provide guidance to site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors on QA/QC requirements. Participate in audits and quality control meetings to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience. Experience: Minimum 3 years in QA/QC of electrical works in Solar EPC projects. Technical Knowledge: Experience with electrical installations in solar power plants (string inverters, central inverters, transformers, switchgear, cabling). Familiarity with relevant QA/QC procedures, standards, and certifications. Knowledge of LV & MV systems, grounding, and lightning protection. Certifications: QA/QC certifications (ISO 9001, NDT, etc.) are an advantage. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and reporting abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC tools. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with solar power plant commissioning. Exposure to SCADA and monitoring systems for solar plants. Knowledge of power system protection and relay coordination.,
