Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for liasioning between the artisan community, CoE functions and business verticals of Fashion & Lifestyle segment.

Finance

• Knowledge of cost components of non - textile products
• Product pricing based on market research and cost estimates

Customer

• Interpret quality of the handicrafts as per customer expectations and market trends
• Orient and encourage artisan community to meet customer requirements as specified by respective business formats

Internal Business Process

• Identify handicraft potential of the region by reaching out to artisan base for cluster development
• Identify and partner with trustworthy artisans and organisations
• Support & handhold artisan communities in every way to execute orders in specified quality & within negotiated timelines
• Act as the one-point contact for artisans & buying team for supply chain of craft-based products
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries of handicrafts
• Focal point of all documentation & data bank of all the clusters of the region

People/ Learning & Growth

• Identify gap areas and provide necessary training and education to artisans for sustainable development
• Anticipate artisan temperament and proactively resolve issues; if any
• Develop collaborative relationship with artisan base and COE representatives
• Educate artisans on org specific systems and processes.

Functional Competencies

• Understanding of Indian non-textile sector (clay, wood, stone, glass etc.)
• Understanding of Cost components of craft-based products
• Knowledge of supply chain management / rural unorganised sector
