Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CATH LAB NURSE: Assisting the Doctors during the patients procedures in all Diagnostics CAG, PAG, CATH study etc & Interventional procedures Angioplasty, IABP, TPI, PPI , Primary PTCA, Pericardial tapping, ASD Device closure etc. Taking care of pre and post cath patients Assessment of Vital signs and Monitoring intake output chart Planning and implementation of patient care Planning patient care Following physician rounds and carrying out the orders prescribed Assisting for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Asepsis and infection control. CPR, Intra muscular & Intra venous injections, Venupuncture, Venous sample collection. Monitoring blood glucose values with the use of glucometer Maintaining records and reports. Formulating nursing diagnosis. Implementation of plan of care. Patient & family education Evaluation of care given. Ongoing assessment. Maintaining sterile technique during the procedure Transferring the patients to the ward.
