Job Description Supply Chain Program Manager In this role, the Supply Chain Program Manager will be responsible for cost, delivery, and supply chain risk mitigation of new products. The role encourages early engagement with engineering and Business/sales team to influence optimal product costs and supply chain design. The SCPM will also work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners to manage prototype, pre-pilot, and pilot builds. The SCPM is integral to a successful product launch and volume ramp. High Level Responsibilities: Risk Management Manages and performs costed BOM risk analysis, identifying and validating risk parts driving resolution or developing mitigation plans for all X and 1 rated components prior to FCS (First Customer Shipment) Identify innovative opportunities to improve BOM structure, accuracy and customer usability and work w/ functional teams to influence BOM and product structure to optimize Mfg and/or customer order experience. Develop processes to evaluate business decisions against risks related to the Supply Chain Assess risks associated with relevant commodity technologies. Communicate risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to organization. Supply Chain and Commodity Knowledge Understanding of supply chain models, strategies. Understanding of commodity cost drivers, as well as basic supplier management and cost negotiation processes. Work with cross functional teams to insure alignment of product roadmap, technology roadmap, and supply chain strategy. Create project plans and strategies to prevent or minimize supply chain risks and manages overall continuity of material supply, delivery and quality ensuring no shortages, delays or quality issues from pilot to mass production. Leverage an expert knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, partner operations, manufacturing sub-processes, and supply base requirements (including technology roadmaps, commodity strategies, risk strategies, and spend analysis) to anticipate and resolve complex materials problems, as well as, influence appropriate sourcing decisions Identify opportunities to implement industry best-practices and innovative improvements for improving the global materials process. Cost Management Utilize appropriate resources and influences sourcing decision to achieve optimal product cost Understands all elements of product cost; validates the integrity of the costed BOM and forward costing; able to clearly articulate the main cost drivers, cost reduction and cost avoidance activities Identify opportunities for cost reduction in other areas of the business Develop innovative cost cutting and management strategies Demand Planning Basic understanding of the forecast process, key players, and its role in demand planning and order fulfillment. Work cross functionally to mitigate impact of planning changes and disruptions to downstream Mfg processes and understand the impact of forecasts on manufacturing performance (e.g. order fulfillment, manufacturing procurement) across functions. Supplier Management Manages supplier performance and team expectations by proactively driving suppliers to meet or exceed committed performance to increase contribution and capability through relationships and trust with vendors/partners. Understands and evaluates the comparative contribution of vendors/partners and creates opportunities for vendors/partners to provide value Required Skills/Experience: Experienced negotiator and influencer Ability to influence across all levels of the organization Strong background in supplier and materials management Lead cross-functional, global teams to accomplish goals and objectives Hands-on experience in supply chain Strong facilitation and people skills; proven ability to lead groups Ability to think strategically Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal & external stakeholders Excellent organization skills and proven follow-through on actions and activities Must have experience working in a Mfg environment Strong supplier management and materials purchasing experience Experience working in a New Product Introduction (NPI) environment strongly desired Program Management experience in supply chain or other operations Experience working directly with contract manufacturers Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint If there is a match between your experiences/skills and the Company's needs, we will contact you directly.
