Job Description
The Senior Lead/Architect for OpCenter Execution Core/Discreate is a pivotal technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions using Siemens OpCenter Execution Core/Discreate. This role combines strategic planning, system architecture, and hands-on expertise to support digital transformation initiatives, enhance manufacturing efficiency, and ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Architecture & Design:
- Define and design scalable MES architecture leveraging Siemens OpCenter Execution Core.
- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for MES implementations aligned with business objectives.
- Provide expertise in architecting solutions that integrate with ERP, PLM, SCADA, and IoT platforms.
2. Technical Leadership:
- Lead technical teams through the implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security in the implemented MES solutions.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
3. Integration and Optimization:
- Design integrations with other enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics using APIs, middleware, or custom connectors.
- Optimize manufacturing processes by automating workflows and leveraging real-time data analytics.
- Ensure compatibility with Industry 4.0 technologies and standards.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Establish best practices for code development, system testing, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as GMP, ISO 9001, or FDA requirements in system design and deployment.
- Support audits and ensure traceability within the MES framework.
5. Mentoring and Training:
- Mentor junior architects, developers, and system engineers.
- Provide technical training to end-users, IT staff, and other stakeholders.
6. Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to define MES strategies and digital transformation initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to the existing MES ecosystem.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), with at least 3 years focused on Siemens OpCenter Execution Core.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying MES architectures in manufacturing environments.
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Siemens OpCenter Execution Core, including customization, workflow design, and integration.
- Strong expertise in system integration tools and protocols (e.g., REST APIs, OPC UA, MQTT).
- Experience with databases (SQL, Oracle), programming languages (Java, C#, or Python), and enterprise middleware solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes in industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, or pharmaceuticals.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership and team-building experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Siemens OpCenter or related MES solutions.
- Experience with IoT, digital twins, or advanced analytics tools.
