Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager with 8+ years experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the data industry, have client-facing experience, and be able to guide clients effectively and pass on the client requirements to the team effectively. This role will require strong communication, leadership, and data management skills, with an emphasis on understanding client needs, improving data acquisition processes, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable data-related solutions.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and ensure their expectations are met through clear communication and effective problem-solving.
- Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, data requirements, and pain points.
- Work closely with clients to understand their desired outcomes and provide tailored solutions to achieve those goals.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the data business, including trends, challenges, and industry best practices.
- Advise clients on how data can be leveraged to drive business value and improve operational efficiency.
- Help clients understand the complexities of acquiring data, providing guidance on overcoming difficulties in data sourcing.
- Educate clients on how to identify easy-to-acquire data sources and strategies to streamline data collection processes.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure seamless data processing and delivery.
- Work closely with developers, data engineers, and operations managers to align on client needs and resolve any technical challenges.
- Ensure commitment to client deliverables, including providing accurate estimates and maintaining timelines for data-related projects.
- Be accountable for ensuring the success of client engagements and meeting deadlines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices in data management and analytics.
- Apply industry knowledge to provide insights and recommendations for client data strategies.
- Coach internal teams, including technical employees and operations staff, on best practices for data management and client communication.
- Provide guidance to ensure that the team is continuously improving their technical skills and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data management, project management, or data-related role.
- Strong understanding of the data industry, including data acquisition, data governance, and analytics.
- Proven ability to interact with clients, gather requirements, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Ability to manage client expectations and deliver high-quality results on time.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with technical teams (e.g., developers, data engineers).
- Knowledge of data management tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
