Job Description
- As a Junior Engineer-QA (Software Quality Assurance), your primary responsibility would be to assist in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products
- Here are some key aspects of your role:Testing and Quality Assurance: You will be involved in various testing activities to identify and report software defects
- This includes writing and executing test cases, performing functional, regression, and integration testing, and analyzing test results
- Test Planning and Documentation: You will contribute to test planning activities by assisting in the creation of test plans, test strategies, and test cases
- It's important to document test procedures, test data, and any issues encountered during testing accurately
- Defect Tracking and Reporting: You will use defect tracking tools to log, track, and manage software defects found during testing
- You should provide clear and detailed defect reports to help the development team understand and reproduce the issues
- Collaboration with Development Team: As a Junior QA Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with the development team to communicate test results, discuss defects, and work towards their resolution
- You may participate in defect triage meetings and provide input for prioritizing and resolving issues
- Continuous Improvement: You should have a mindset for continuous improvement and actively seek opportunities to enhance the QA process
- This includes suggesting improvements to test methodologies, automation frameworks, and tools to streamline the testing process
- Test Automation: Depending on the organization's needs, you may be involved in test automation efforts
- This involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools
- Knowledge of QA Best Practices: It's essential to stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies related to software quality assurance
- This knowledge will help you contribute effectively to the QA team's success
