Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications and cloud-native infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Apache Kafka, and PostgreSQL, along with strong experience in API management, CI/CD automation, and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Configure and optimize Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and messaging.
- Administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement and manage API Gateways for secure and efficient API management.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and monitoring.
- Ensure system security, scalability, and reliability across cloud-based applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance and security issues in the cloud environment.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to enhance platform capabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud-native and DevOps best practices to drive innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration.
- Proven expertise in Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and high availability.
- Experience with API Gateways (Azure API Management, Kong, or similar tools).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline development (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Strong experience with platform upgrades and patch management.
- Understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with Helm, Terraform, or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
